Is Money Important To You?

To me isnt at all, i like to spend on enjoying my life and by that i dont mean luxury things, i mean eating food, enjoying days out with my husband and child, keeping my home nice etc. I dont do spending on unecessary things such as expensive handbags or clothes etc. But my family say i have no savings! Compared to them they say i spend to much. I just dont see the point of living my life buying cheap food and complaining about bills 24/7 like them. To me thats being to stingy but they say it’s the only way they can save and mashaAllah have many properties and cars. To me that means nothing at all, am i right? or should i have some savings? i really dont have much to be honest. But it’s kinda got me down what they’ve said to me. what do you think?

  1. God helps those who help themselves…so, yes. I believe that savings and frugality are important and admirable. Even though you may have to live today does not mean that you should not make plans for tomorrow. Perhaps those who are advising you to be prepared have lived in a time or place which was different from your current situation and thereby learned a valuable lesson which they are trying to pass on to you. It is easier to learn from others than for each individual to learn everything all over again on their own. I would take their advice and make sure that I was prepared for the future.

  2. Ofcourse.
It’s the source of everything now a days. food, drink, gas everything you need to live, and its all getting crazy expensive.

    Honestly
money is important to me, I have mother, one sick sister and one nephew to feed, and I will be really worried when I start lack of money, I know I shouldn’t be, but it’s difficult not to feel worried.

My family are the same way as in they aren’t as cheap as some of my relatives. Spend as much money on whatever is necessary, i mean what good are savings gonna do in the afterlife? Don’t let it get you down, what you’re doing is great because i guess in a way it prevents you from being too greedy. I actually never noticed before how much my family actually spends compared to other people. I never knew people saved up soo much because i never saw the point of it all. We don’t worry over it too much, if we need something then we get it and get it good quality. And Alhumdulillah we’re great and we still have enough money to spend on things we don’t actually need either..(me =P) lol…
Don’t let it get you down sis =)
