Air Bag Suspension?
Posted in Luxury Handbags on 06/19/2009 06:27 pm by a-lianI own a chrysler new yorker 1988 landau edition and the rear uses air bag suspension and after 15 seconds of turning the car on you can hear the air compressor kick on and its kind of loud to lift the car up to a comfortable lever i took the car in and they said there were no leaks anywhere and its supposed to do that so that if there was more weight in the back the compressor would kick on to lift the back but if you think about it when this car was new who would buy a luxury type car that made a loud noise after turning it on is there a way for the compressor to work but without a annoying noise?Air Bag Suspension?

the compressor makes a noise but the way you describe it like annoying and all that does not sound normal, You can barely hear it when operating normally

This is not new technology…They have been used on race cars and trucks for almost 60 years…Lexus suv,s also have this…You could deaden the sound by isolating the compressor better…

those compresses are generally loud, some are louder than others tho, the make ones that are not nearly as loud but you got to have the money to buy. Another thing i might try is to see of you can put some kind of insulation i certain areas.
